Welcome to our little piece of magic in Donegal, relax in our newly built home with your family and friends and truly unwind.
Our brand new property with amazing views over farmland and the Gweebara estuary leading out to the Atlantic is a perfect place to holiday, slow down and relax.
We have made the most of the view with large aspect windows, highlighting the ever-changing landscape. This is where you'll come to relax and explore the beautiful Donegal scenery on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Our fantastic new two-bedroom property consists of a large open-plan kitchen/dining/living area with double height sloping ceiling with impressive 10 foot high windows looking out to Dooey Sand dune and the stunning Gweebara Estuary and its fabulous sunsets.
There are two double bedrooms with high ceilings, each with large wardrobe units with plenty of storage and premium, modern, elegant furniture. There is a smart TV on a bracket in one of the rooms with a PlayStation 4.
Our wonderful bathroom has a large free-standing bath and a large walk-in shower, vanity unit and basin, WC and a sensor light mirror.
The main living space consists of a new kitchen with top-of-the-range (Samsung) appliances, a washing machine and integrated dishwasher, lots of pots, pans, cookware and serving dishes. We have an integrated fridge freezer and a boiling water tap to help make your tea and coffee easier. Small appliances also include a coffee machine (small pods), panini maker, toaster and air-fryer.
We have a dining table that seats four and a large kitchen island with 3 comfy stools to enjoy watching the chef in action. The island has an electric 4-ring induction hob.
The lounge area features a wonderful wood-burning stove that rotates so you can change where it faces. We have a very large selection of books and Blu-rays with a record player and stereo to enjoy our vinyl and CDs. We have a large Smart TV, Blu-ray player and sound bar with subwoofer.
We love to share our books, Blu-Rays, CD's and board games for your and others' enjoyment, and we respect that you look after these for us.
The local area benefits of 3 cracking pubs, including Elliots Bar, McCaffertys Bar and Packies Bar at Corr Point. There is also a local shop, an honesty box serving local fresh goods, a petrol station and bike hire within 5 minutes drive of the house.
Surf lessons are available at Dooey Beach, a 5-minute drive from the house. The world-renowned Narin and Portnoo golf course is approx. 15-minute drive, Glenveagh National Park, Mount Errigal and some of Europe's highest cliffs at Slieve League, approx 45 minutes away.
The towns of Dungloe and Glenties are approx. 15 min drive and offer plenty of food shopping and dining options. Ardara is approx. 30 mins and Donegal Town and Letterkenny are around 45mins.
The closest airport is Donegal airport at approx 35 minutes' drive (flights via Dublin or direct from Glasgow), followed by Derry at 1.5 hrs, Knock and Belfast at around 2.5 hours.
Our house is situated down a dead-end lane, so there is minimal traffic, making Nan's place a very peaceful spot. There is farmland and forests as you look out from the panoramic front windows, with the Gweebarra Bay in view as the ocean tides change the landscape.
Parking is suitable for one car (please contact us if you need more than one space).
Dune View is connected to our original holiday home, Nan's Place. They have separate entrances, all amenities and parking. Should a group wish to join the properties, we can unlock the internal door to allow free movement through the house.
Please get in touch via the 'contact us' page if you have any questions.
Please note. There are 2 bedrooms. One has a king-size bed, the other has a superking that can be split into two singles on request.

The Eircode F94 H7Y5 will bring you directly to the house.
FROM LETTERKENNY (approx. 55mins): Follow the R250 towards Glenties. Take the right-hand turning after Fintown onto the R252 or carry on until you get to Glenties. Google Maps often sends people right approximately halfway between the R252 turning and Glenties - WE RECOMMEND YOU AVOID THIS ROAD.
If you take the R252 turning, carry on until you come to the small village of Doohery. When the road takes a sharp right, turn left towards Lettermacaward (Irish: Leitir Mhic an Bhaird / Leitir). Keep going until you come to a junction. Turn left and continue until you see McCafferty's pub and Gallagher's shop, then turn right. Keep going until you see a sign for Farragans on your left. Turn left and follow the road until you see a palm tree on your right , and you will have arrived at your destination.
If you keep going until you arrive in Glenties, as you come into the town, take the first right turning onto the N56. Stay on the N56 until you cross the Gweebara bridge. After the bridge, keep driving until you see Gallagher's shop on your right. Take the turning on your left. Keep going until you see a sign for Farragans on your left. Turn left and follow the road until you see a palm tree on your right, and you will have arrived at your destination.
FROM DONEGAL TOWN (approx. 45mins): Follow the N56 for approx. 12km until you see a sign on your right for the R262. Turn right onto the R262 and follow the road until you rejoin the N56. Turn right onto the N56 and keep following it (towards Glenties, then Dungloe), until you cross the Gweebara Bridge. After the bridge, keep driving until you see Gallagher's shop on your right. Take the turning on your left. Keep going until you see a sign for Farragans on your left. Turn left and follow the road until you see a palm tree on your right, and you will have arrived at your destination.
FROM CARRICKFIN AIRPORT (approx 30mins): Follow signs for Dungloe which will bring you onto the N56. Once on the N56 stay on it (going past Dungloe) until you reach Lettermacaward. Once you see McCafferty's pub and Gallagher's shop (on your left), turn right. Keep going until you see a sign for Farragans on your left. Turn left and follow the road until you see a palm tree on your right, and you will have arrived at your destination.
